I have not attempted drawing for several years but I decided to draw today. My journey towards learning to draw began sometime in 1990. Since then, I have not drawn consistently, but rather in fits and starts. When progress was too slow and the effort too frustrating, I would put drawing aside - sometimes for several years. Then something inside me would be awakened and I would feel the need to draw again.

In the beginning I sketched just to try something new. But soon I realized this wasn't enough for me and that I really wanted to 'learn to draw'. After many years, I still feel the same and wonder if I will ever be able to say I have learned to draw.
