This lily was actually white, but drawn on colored paper. It proved to be much more difficult than I had imagined because of my problems shading a white object. I think it would have helped to have a stronger, less diffuse light producing heavier shadows to define the form. However, this was drawn with natural light coming through my kitchen window which I could not change - well actually, the light kept changing all morning as the sun moved which was another difficulty.
